# Navigation and search

Find any endpoint, parameter or data model in seconds, with keyboard shortcuts.

## Navigation

The left pane groups endpoints by tag, following `x-tagGroups` and OpenAPI 3.2 tag parents when the spec uses them. Specs without tags are grouped by path. **Overview** shows the description, servers and authentication methods. **Schemas** lists every data model.

## Search

The search box finds endpoints by method, path, summary, description, operation ID, tag and parameter name. It also lists matching **data models**: click one to open it.

Results are ranked by relevance, so an exact operation ID or summary comes first.

## Keyboard shortcuts

| `Ctrl` + `F` or `⌘` + `F` | Search the API (when the macro has focus) |
| `Esc` | Clear the search |
| Arrow keys | Move between tabs (code languages, response codes) |

`Ctrl` + `F` opens Apifolio's search instead of the browser's, because the browser can't see endpoints that are not on screen yet.

## Full screen

Click the expand icon at the top right to read the API full screen. Press `Esc` or the close icon to go back.
