# AI features

Copy any endpoint or the whole API for ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot, and ask the Apifolio API Expert agent in Rovo.

## Copy for AI

Every endpoint has a **Copy for AI** button. It copies the endpoint as clean Markdown: method and path, parameters, request and response fields, authentication, examples and a cURL request. Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot or any assistant to generate client code, tests or explanations.

From the **⋯** menu at the top right you can also:

- **Copy for AI (Markdown)**: the whole API, respecting the macro's filters;
- **Download as Markdown**: the same content as a `.md` file.

Copying happens in your browser. Apifolio does not send anything to an AI service.

## Apifolio API Expert (Rovo agent)

If your site has Rovo, Apifolio adds an agent called **Apifolio API Expert**. Find it in Rovo Chat under **Agents**, or click **Ask AI** in the macro or next to an endpoint.

Ask things like:

- "Which APIs are documented on this page?"
- "How do I create an order? Show a Python example."
- "Which endpoints need authentication, and how does it work?"
- "What fields does the Invoice model have?"

The agent answers from your spec with these read-only actions: list the APIs on a page, find endpoints, get endpoint details, get a data model, generate a code sample, summarise an API, and search APIs across the site.

Good to know:

- The agent can only read pages and files **you** can read.
- Answers come from the spec, generated by Apifolio's own code. The conversation itself runs on Rovo, Atlassian's AI.
- Rovo is available on paid Confluence plans. Using the agent consumes your organization's Rovo credits, like any Rovo agent. Apifolio charges nothing extra.
